Knotty punk duo Cassels have spat out news of their impending debut album with 'Coup', a typically fidgety cut of their thrashy rock. "We form an army of waifs and strays," they blurt, "caught somewhere between the minimum and living wage". A bookish-yet-brash takedown of modern strife and youth-led apathy, these brothers' semi-telepathic ability takes the fore as they weave choppy riffs around their tongue-twisting lyricism. First full length Epithet is due 6th October 2017 via Big Scary Monsters, and suddenly seems set to be an essential, exasperated soundtrack to these uncertain times. - TC
